GameB?

#1

I’ve been listening to Jim Rutt’s podcast since I found he interviewed Dave Snowden, and his guests run the gamut from philosophers to scientists and everywhere in-between. One of the unique concepts he’s introduced me to is “GameB”, which has some eerie overlaps with Spiral Dynamics, Integral Theory, Metamodernism…this blog post talks about it so I wanted to share.

@William @troy @andycleff you guys will want to check this out, it’s solidly up your alley!

Throw in a little Theory U with Game B, @JayH

@thostaylor I did some light reconnaissance into Theory U, i like it. Definitely in line with the GameB stuff. Great, another book to read…

Great find, GameB really does sit at that fascinating intersection of Spiral Dynamics and metamodern thinking. It’s one of those frameworks that shifts how you see societal evolution.

By the way, since you all enjoy deep dives into complex systems, you might also appreciate what I stumbled across recently: trucks of europe 3 mod. It’s not philosophy, but the way it simulates logistics and supply-chain dynamics actually gives a grounded, real-world counterpart to some of the systems-thinking ideas Jim Rutt explores. Worth a look if you’re into practical models.
